Triton in Rome

Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas

This fountain is a copy of the Fontana di Trevi, in Rome. The original served as the terminus of an aqueduct which supplied its water. Unsure where the Ceasar's version gets its water, and it does no good to speculate.

Here, Triton guides the chariot of Neptune.

Anita Ekberg swam in the Trevi in Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". More recently, a Milanese tourist known as Roberta swam "al nuda" in the fountain in April, 2007, a highly illegal act. Her pictures quickly made the international news circuit anywhere such pictures could be displayed.
