Steve 'Crocodile Hunter' Irwin was tragically killed by a sting ray in a freak accident today 4th of Sep 2006.
I visited Australia Zoo only 4 weeks ago and am very saddened by his death.
He was one of my heroes and a legend and will be missed.
My deepest sympathies go out to Steves family and friends and the staff at the Zoo.
RIP Steve. You made a huge difference.
