KCPD Helicopters

Some members of my RC helicopter club, along with myself, were incredibly fortunate to
have the opportunity to visit the KC Police Department helicopter maintenance facility
in April of 2013. We shared a pizza lunch with their mechanic and two of the department's
pilots, who very kindly offered to take each of us for a short ride in their new MD500E
helicopters! (This was my first time in a helicopter and it's an incredible experience
that I'll never forget!)

Myself, and the rest of the club members who took part, wish to once again say a big "THANK YOU"
to KCPD helicopter mechanic, Darwin Ulledahl, and the pilots, Dan Meyer and Kevin Colmar.
We greatly appreciate the time and generosity that you showed us, and we also thank you for
all that you do to protect and serve the people of the Kansas City community! We salute you!
