Hiking time: 3 hours and 2 minutes. Distance about 4 miles. Quinn is 11 and Knoll will be 9 on September 11. We took one of the longest loops on the butte and the kids had a ball, as much at home climbing trees as any of their primate ancestors.

The trail starts at an elevation of about 400 feet, climbs to about 550 feet, descends to about 230 feet, and then climbs back to the car in a big loop around the butte.
