I took the longest route I could map out within the park with the minimum of retracing my steps. This was the first time I hiked in this park in several months. I only came here because the weather was overcast and fire danger keeping me off Mt. Hood. I took no trekking poles or no ice axe, because the trails in this park are so tame. This enabled me to have the great pleasure of taking the tripod. I love using the tripod, much more than hand-holding.

Took 77 photos of which 41 made the cut. Taking selfies is a piece of cake when you have the tripod to hold the camera. All images taken at ISO 100, lowest possible with the Olympus E-M1, so I don't have to worry about noise reduction. I also took my 40-150mm instead of my 75-300mm, because this hike has a lot more possibilities with the former. Mt. Hood needs the 75-300mm because of the distant crags and glaciers.

Hiking time: 228 minutes and 4.4 seconds, or 3 hours and 48 minutes. Visitor's Center to Wildhorse Trail to Summit Lane to South Trail, turns into Pioneer Orchard Trail to Cedar Grove Trail to left on Elderberry Trail to Holgate Lane Staircase to right on Holgate Lane to right on Forest Edge Trail to right on Meadowland Lane to left on Summit Lane to left on Wildhorse Lane back to Visitor's Center.
