Hiking time: 146 minutes and 30.5 seconds, or 2 hours and 27 minutes. First day that the Powell Butte Visitor Center was open (had two oatmeal raisin cookies). Visitor Center to Wildhorse Trail to summit to left on Meadowland Trail (formerly Goldfinch Trail) to right on South Trail (formerly Pioneer Orchard Trail) to Cedar Grove Trail (formerly the Black-tailed Deer Trail) to overgrown and closed old Cedar Grove Trail to left on Douglas Fir Trail to Mountain View Trail to Visitor Center. The old Cedar Grove Trail has an inviting beginning off the old Black-tailed Deer Trail now renamed the Douglas Fir Trail. It seems open, but rapidly deteriorates as a very steep trail would if it hadn't been maintained for two years. When it leaves the forest you can't even see the trail beneath your feet. It was a mistake taking this wretched abandoned trail, but I lived to tell about it. Took 45 photos, of which 27 made the cut.

The full frame fisheyes in this gallery are experimental, as I learn how to use this amazing (and inexpensive) manual lens. Each fisheye photo is followed by the corresponding image corrected in the software program, DxO Viewpoint 2. Correcting fisheye images sometimes improve the aesthetic appreciation of the subject and sometimes reveal it as prosaic.
