That is the couple that I've met over and over again up to here. Here they take the path to the left, which is a mistake: it leads into an almost impassible tangle of vegetation. I actually took that path and made it to McNeil Point last year. I made the same mistake today, but changed my mind when the couple told me there was a tangle in front of them. They soon followed me back to this trail junction and followed me up the correct trail to the right.
