The hike started at 09:27:38 AM and this beautifully shaped tree was growing right in front of my car. You can see that it is overcast. I was waiting for an overcast day when it was not raining to get even lighting for forest photography, which is mainly what you get on this trail until it opens up in spots beyond High Bridge (which hear about later on in this series).
