To get over to Washington, I crossed the bridge at the town of Hood River, OR, over to U.S. 14 that runs along the Washington shore of the Columbia River. The bridge crossing is approximately 60 miles from where I live. When I got onto U.S. 14 I had to drive about five miles west to Washington Highway 141, and at that intersection, I was delighted to see this crystal clear shot of Oregon's 11,284 foot Mt. Hood. I just had to park the car at a pullout and shoot some pictures. This is at maximum focal length of my 12-40mm f/2.8 lens. Columbia River, about a mile wide, runs along the bottom of the picture, magnificently blue.
