Beacon Rock, 848 feet high. Great views of Beacon Rock while climbing up the side of Hamilton Mountain. Beacon Rock is the largest basaltic monolith in the Pacific Northwest. It is on my list to climb its trail very soon, something I never bothered doing in the glory days of my hiking because the 600 foot climb was beneath my dignity. Now I eat easy trails for breakfast.
