My guidebooks warn against continuing along this path due to the narrow, treacherous slopes. I tried to hike up to the end of this section from the main trail, and I'm glad I didn't try to get to the end this way, because I was blocked by a three foot cliff that would have turned me back and I would have had to retrace my way back on this scary section.
