The beginning of an ecstatic trip down into the depths of an ancient and completely wild old growth forest that drops 250 feet down to the shores of Trapper Creek. The trail is extremely steep in spots and very rugged and it is supposed to form a loop back to this Deer Cutoff Trail, but after descending, eating lunch and resting at the bottom, I continued on, only to run into a complete dead-end! I could not find my way back up out the other side and I was forced to turn around and come back to this Deer Cutoff Trail. It was a tough hike back out of this paradisiacal place.
