First of two local forests we hiked through on Maui, Hawaii, U.S.A., last day, 2015 03 (Mar) 09

This was a "no trespassing area" fenced off to intruders, and we had to climb over an iron fence to trespass against the law. Hunters can get licenses to get in. Otherwise, only workers doing landscaping are allowed in without being arrested and banished to prison apparently. Fortunately, we didn't get caught and lived to tell about it. However, risking imprisonment of indefinite length was worth it. There are just an amazing number of stunning trees on this hike to photograph. The hike starts out through a cow pasture full of cow plops you had to constantly be on the lookout for. After that, it's just one jaw dropping tree after another, seemingly an endless number of them. Total hiking time: 2 hours and 59 minutes.

A huge gallery! Sorry, folks. Took 271 photos, of which 163 made the cut.
