First images from new MFT Olympus 7-14mm f/2.8 lens 2015 07 (Jul) 06

These were taken minutes after I received the new Olympus 7-14mm lens from UPS. The second I got it in my hands, I cracked open the package, mounted it on my E-M1 Olympus body and walked around the neighborhood and through the neighborhood woods. Most shots were taken at f/2.8 and 7mm, although a few were taken at f/5.6 and a few at 14mm. The most notable things I found about the lens were its relative absence of purple flair. I originally owned the Panasonic 7-14mm f/4 and the purple flare was so egregious that I ditched it a few weeks after purchasing it and then waited 18 months for the Olympus to come out with this competitor. The second thing I noticed about this lens was how sharp and contrasty the images are even at f/2.8. The third thing I noticed was the very pleasant bokeh.
