Humpback Whales winter off the coast of Maui, and then around mid-April, they head north to summer off Alaska. We weren't on Maui, we were on Oahu. Even so, we hooked up with Dreamland cruises and took their whale-watching cruise. The season was almost over, so the fact that we saw any whale at all should be celebrated. We saw ONE, and he only showed us his flukes. We actually saw more of the Ohio-class submarine than we did of the whale. These are pictures from that cruise, and include shots of Honolulu Harbor, etc.
