New Raised Bed in Front Yard - Fall 2014

The Problem:
As you can see by the first photo (taken in 2008), the sidewalk in the front of the house would flood every time it rained.

My Solution:
Create a raised flowerbed with stepping stones to replace the soggy sidewalk.

It took me a few years for this project to reach the top of my to-do list, but in Fall 2014 I decided it was time.

The photos in this gallery document the transformation.

I attempted to do the entire job myself, but it was really a two-person job, and Jordan Smith gets HUGE kudos for stepping in to help me complete it before winter came to Georgia.

I *cannot* wait for Spring -- it should be stunning!
