The city of Highland Park is now one of the most deprived suburbs in Detroit but in the early 20th Century it was an affluent area and had this magnificent Beaux-Arts style library with a museum in its basement. The city went bankrupt about a decade ago and the library has been closed since 2002. If you google Highland Park Public Library, Detroit you can see images of it when it was open.
