Goshen Ohio Knot Hole Baseball Umpires | 2007 Tournament

Not the best of the league's umpires in Clermont County Ohio Knot Hole Baseball.
This group ruined the 2007 year end tournament with their poor behavior during the games.
At one point they kept a game going, having the boys playing in unsafe weather conditions.
The unprofessional behavior happened when Raider's head coach questioned the weather.
The umpires were abusive towards coaches and parents. There was a very bad wind and rain storm.
The tournament organizer was belligerent, abusive and combative when in discussion of the weather.

The head of the umpire crew tried to be intimidating and attempted to use bully tactics.
After the storm weather game, they began to change how our team was treated in the tournament.
The head of the umpires black balled our team for the rest of the tournament.

Goshen Umpires did not sign all home team score books the home team's book which is required.
In the 2nd to last game we played there we won, but both pitchers we had were used in the game.
With less than 48 hours we were doomed, our main pitch Eric could not pitch.
Our team was scheduled in a way that we had no way of winning, no pitchers left.

Sad part is the CNE Raider team got cheated out of a fair end to the season, it was their last season.
Some of the boys are heading off to High School and the team did not reform the following year.

The Goshen Umpire's behavior was a very sad for allowing the tournament to happen the way it did.

Louis ran the flawed tournament and most umpires would not give their names.
They refused to admit they were wrong, and proved it with their behavior.
They would not even sign the score books of home teams, at least not ours, that is required.
We wonder why they would not be named if they were behaving in a civil manor.

But it is over and the boys learned a bit about life, it is not always fair.
