Bailys Beads
Only moments before totality, a few rays of sunlight pass through the deep valleys at the Moon's edge, causing the Baily's Beads, which look like the jewels on a necklace. Red chromosphere is also visible.

Slik U212 tripod, Olympus OM Auto Winder 1 and remote electric shutter release. Exposure 1/1000 sec @ f11. Scanned with Polaroid Sprintscan 35 Plus. Image processed with minimal tweaking in Photoshop to match the slide. full exif
