After leaving Anchorage, we arrived at Homer, located on the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula. Here, we boarded a small boat and crossed the Kachemak Bay to the Kachemak Bay State Park to hike the Glacier Spit Trail up to the Grewingk Glacier Lake. The view of the 13 mile long glacier and alpine lake was beautiful as we ate lunch on the shore. Later, we returned by the Saddle Trail to our boat.
