The Silk Road style Dunhuang Dance was created to reflect the images from the frescoes in the Dunhuang Grottoes. The dance style uses mythic flying apsaras or fairies dancing and playing celestial music. Apsaras float with trailing ribbons and scarves watching and protecting the people on the earth below. It is in a beautiful setting with flying celestials and reflects the Indian influence from the Silk Road travelers. The performance also includes Chinese Acrobats, Thousand Hands Buddhist, and other traditional dances
