MaxellDVD-R_30min-goo

Three DVD-R in a batch of 10 were 30 min - MaxellDVD-R_30min

Inside the case in all three there was tacky stuff between the purpish-black carrier frame on the inside bottom of the clear case.
This same tacky stuff was was on the exposed part of the DVD (of course it was).
The outside of all cases was smooth and tackless (if such a word exists in this sense).
The top side of the purplish-black carrier frame was fine where it contacted the paper insert.

My conclusion is there is some long-term chemical reaction between the two types of plastic in contact with each other

more than curious - the same issue was not there with the double sided maxell 60 min DVD's (7 total) in the same batch.

Question - Is this a known problem ?

Thanks to the petro-chemical industry for naptha (and the plastics to 3d-print steenbeck gaskets).
