KodaColor
This film is from the Alaska Film Archives,University of Alaska Fairbanks
They generously lent this film so that I could experiment with recovering the color from this black and white film.

The color has been separated with lenticular lenses vertically embedded in the film base, which can be seen as the vertical stripes.

The frame https://pbase.com/filmworks4ever/image/133995785 happens to be in higher resolution.

A quick glance at the B&W scans will reveal at least 4 big challenges in an attempt to recover the color with a strictly digital approach. Perhaps it will not be possible, but that is what makes it fun to try.

Here is a link to the DivX 720 by 480 version of the AVI file showing the B&W film alone. http://www.bitworks.org/AviSamples/DivX_16mm_FW4E1588_RevA_720_480.avi
