This gallery contains frames from a 1978 travel films shot by Ben Sussman, a printer from Detroit
There are about 30 hours of these Kodachrome films still in gorgeous condition. They have not all been scanned yet.
Most of the films are extremely well exposed and I wonder if he disposed of his mistakes, or whether what I have is the whole lot.
These frames were processed with our Kodachrome algorithms. As anyone who designs image capture systems know – deep reds play havoc with the rest of the world. If you don’t believe me , just watch the TV for a while or a lot of movies.
Every frame in this gallery passed through exactly the same processing algorithm. No tweaking has been done on an individual frame. All setting were global.
If native inhabitants, nude, naked, topless, bare breasted, costumed, gaga dressed, natural, flamboyant, carefree, bikini clad, or dancing people, as well as killer lions gorging on their prey, feathered birds etc. offend you, then please click elsewhere.
