blue_channel_grain_size

These images explore some interesting things on a 1995 8mm kodak film.
The colour version of the images has been processed to reduce the blue and enhance the red for a more balanced look.
Upon examining a colour separation., the lower right quadrant is the blue channel and we can see that the blue channel had much larger film grain than the red or green channels. This image is a type of log compression showing the full dynamic range of the quantizer. Each colour is display as B&W.
