Dear MA
Attached are frame grabs from 16mm_FW4E1172
Film type Kodak E 7222
These images were all scanned in a 2:1 format and were reduced 1:1 to correct the spect ratio. They could have been converted to other aspect ratio’s
There are no problems but I do note the following:
Based on the position of the film gate and the size of the gate I would guess there were three different 16mm cameras used.
The frame captures were done in colour and the channels balanced to give a black and white result. So each image is still RGB.
In cases where you see a bluish colour and the gamma needs reduction the film was moderately overexposed. I can force this to B&W in the end but it is a handy way to trace the exposure of the film.
The sections of film like this will need to have there gamma reduced. The processing was setup to generate close to full contrast and this is why a simple gamma correction should suffice.
One of the cameras had slight light leakage around the film gate and it appears as a white blur on the frame line. This is not a showstopper but you will notice a bright sky will bleed slightly into the bottom of the previous frame.
