"Match Game" by Cheri-2-8-2011.jpg

This top was pieced by Cheri of Champaign, IL.
She calls it "Match Game", since there are two matching blocks of each fabric design for child to try and find.
I picked up on her theme by adding matching pairs of objects scattered in the overall quilting pattern. The center (time exposure)NiteLite view makes it easier to spot the pairs.
Aligning the quilted backing was made relatively easy because Cheri provided plenty of width and length of her backing. The dotted outline shows how the backing aligns with the top.

I just delivered the finished quilt to baby James. His folks loved it (James is too little to notice)! They were thrilled by the glow-in-the-dark thread and the 6 pairs of matching objects you quilted in. Very cool indeed!
