During some down time while my longarm machine was having a firmware upgrade, my wife helped me get starting with piecing on a domestic sewing machine. I had designed a Sudoku quilt pattern quite some time ago and this was a good time to learn a little about the piecing process.
My concept is a little different from the Sudoku patterns that show fill the completed puzzle.
In my quilt concept, the blanks (light tan blocks) are covered by small fabric pillows to solve the puzzle. It is a relatively easy puzzle to solve so that it may hold the interest of our grand children.
I did a lot of rechecking before sewing to make sure that the starting blocks didn't get positioned in the wrong place and make the puzzle impossible.
