open image as a smart object and New smart object via copy.
In ACR, adjust one layer for the shadows and one layer for the bright steps.
Add a layer mask to the brighter layer and create a "light beam". Paint black to the mask to darken the front edges of the steps and paint white to brighten some of the leaves.
Add a top layer in Overlay blending mode and burn the top left area of the image to darken.
