I opened the jpeg as a smart object after making some adjustments in ACR.
Then copy layer as smart object and used the clarity slider to soften the background.
I fixed the eyeglass reflection by cloning on a new layer and added a curves adjustment layer to whiten and brighten their teeth.
Straightened the image and cropped tighter.
