Images of the Temecula Valley Wine and Balloon Festival, Temecula, California, June 3, 2006. This is an annual event sponsored by the wine growers of the Temecula Valley and the City of Temecula. It is held at Lake Skinner in Riverside County California. The festival features hot air balloon rides over the valley and wine tasting at stands hosted by the local vintners. This year there were 54 participating hot air balloons, most from local vendors. The highlight is the nightly “Balloon Glow” were stationary balloons are tethered and inflated and made to glow from their propane burners. Most images were taken with a Nikon D200 digital camera. Several were taken with a Canon Power Shot SD400.
