Day 7
At 6am we left for an early walk. We had to go in line cause it made us appear to be more and the animals would be afraid of us.
There are two giraffes in this picture but they are very difficult to spot!
Very far next to the palm tree there is a buffalo. We didn't try to go closer ;)
As we walked we also saw a lot of areas with water and nice ducks.
Very typical and beautiful landscape in the Okavango Delta.
This is the skull of a buffalo.
Giraffes and zebras are often together because they complement each other. Giraffes see far and zebras have good hearing.
We saw 3 male elephants and we walked towards them to see them from closer (One of the most exciting moments of the whole trip!)
As we approached them, one got a bit nervous and started to move his ears (lots of adrenaline!!!).
After a couple of minutes (in which we were completely still) he relaxed and started to eat.
Another typical landscape of the Okavango Delta but this time with impalas fighting, a zebra and a baboon.
This is a communal spider web.
This palm tree seed has just started to grow. The locals call them "hope".
Drinking beer and waiting for the sunset. Starting left Tom, Carol, Sonia, Maria, Jens, Verena, Line, David and Francis.
Now enjoying the sunset.
Talking around the fire after dinner.
