As you might already know, I was in search of my "Holy Grail" - the kingfisher - since more than one month. I've visited many places along Sile river, until today, in a small hide loaned by Luciano...
I've waited 4 hours....there were nasty spiders....my legs were tired, and it was difficult to stay awake...then I heard an hiss...it was posed on the stick...a marvelous female of kingfisher!
My hearth stopped, the finger was almost frozen on the shutter release, I couldn't move it...I no longer heard the jays, the blackbirds, the pheasants, the warblers, the woodpeckers and the other bird that were around me...I slowly toke some shots, the kingfisher didn't hear the click of the camera...it was breath-taking...actually I don't even know how I managed to take some sharp shots!
After few minutes, or maybe just few seconds, it flew away...I still heard its hiss and I couldn't stop few tears...

27 june. My last photos of the kingfisher...
I'm almost sad....
The first time that I've seen this bird in a photo I immediately fell in love with it....the first time that I've actually seen it I cried and I fell in love again...
I couldn't even imagine that there was such beautiful bird, almost as mystic as the Phoenix bird ;-)
Maybe my many static photos does not mean a lot for you....after all this subject has already been photographed a lot...but I love each one of these shots, since they represents technical choices, errors, and - more important - they bring me back the emotions that I can't even explain with words...if you could see my eyes or my smile when I watch it!
I hope to be able to transmit you at least part of this emotion.

Come sapete bene, è da un mesetto che ero alla ricerca del mio sacro graal...il martin pescatore!! ho visitato quasi tutti gli accessi alle sponde del Sile finchè oggi da un capanno fisso concessomi da Luciano....
Ho aspettato per 4 ore... in compagnia di ragni indescrivibili ..le gambe mi facevano male e facevo fatica a rimanere sveglia.. poi un fischio.. ed era lì sul posatoio...una stupenda femminuccia di martin percatore...
il cuore mi si è fermato, il dito sul tasto di scatto non voleva muoversi, era come se non mi appartenesse.... non sentivo più le ghiandaie, i merli, i fagiani, gli usignoli di fiume, i codibugnoli, picchi che fino un'attimo prima animavano il posto.. piano piano presi a scattare e sembrava non accorgersi del rumore della macchina... il cuore era in gola... sinceramente non so come ho fatto a non farle tutte sfuocate!!
credo che sia stata una questione di pochi minuti se non secondi..è volata via..sentivo ancora il suo fischio e non ho potuto trattenere qualche lacrima...
Un enorme ringraziamento a Luciano che ha un amore infinito per queste creature e a tutti quelli che non ne potevano più di sentirmi parlare del martino! in primis Juza, SynergiA, Stiki, One more time, elefantino e tanti altri.

mi piange il cuore...
la prima volta che l'ho visto nelle foto di questo forum mi sono innamorata di lui... la prima volta che l'ho visto dal vivo ho pianto sul serio e mi sono riinnamorata...
non pensavo che potesse esistere un simile animale, mistico quasi quanto l'araba fenice Mr. Green
magari per voi quelle foto statiche che ho postato fin'ora non vogliono dire più di tanto...e poi è un soggetto piuttosto inflazionato.. ma io tengo ad ognuna di esse, visto che sono legate a scelte tecniche che ho fatto, sbagli, ma soprattutto mi ricordano delle forti emozioni che non sono nemmeno in grado di esprimere a parole....ma se voi poteste vedere i miei occhi o il mio sorriso quando lo guardo...
spero di riuscirvi a trasmettere almeno in parte tutto questo.
