Very Unique Ruby Throated Hummingbird - Updated Photos

This Adult male Ruby Throated was recaptured in Tallahassee, Florida, on December 11, 2005. Very interestingly, the bird was still wearing the pink mark that Fred Bassett applied when it was originally banded on December 31, 2004. The mark has remained because the bird never molted into its adult plumage. In addition to the pink marking, it had a partial gorget and white tipped tail feathers.

Several of the photos taken in December 2004 have been added and I have created some side by side photos to make it easier to compare the bird as he appears one year later.
