Beautiful. One of my favorite things about cold weather setting in is the smell of wood fires when I step outside. It never fails to bring back childhood memories of hot cocoa in front of the fireplace after playing in the snow.
What a terrific fall image! The leaves in the background have started to turn, the sunlight is bright but diffuse, and the wind has a chilly bite to it. A warm little fire is the perfect answer! :> Love the tight cropping of the subject, Faye - and the way the smoke trails to the edge of the frame, like it's blowing right out of view.
