Arqueología de campo - Cueva del Castillo - 2007 / Archeology at Work - Castillo Cave 2007

This year I have been lucky enough to visit, for a few days, a real excavation in Puente Viesgo / Cantabria / Spain. It was a very exciting experience and I want to share it.
Now, some information, Castillo cave is, as far as I know, the archeological site with the longest period of human occupation. It covers from 140.000 to 2.500 B.C. from Neanderthals to Bronze Age. Actual campaign was started twenty seven years ago! And it will need, at least, the same time to be finished.

I would like that this modest gallery could serve as homage to this hard, silent and patient work of a well motivated team, suffering an unbelievable lack of resources but with willpower more than enough for this colossal job. This is the way Science is done! Special recognition to our good friend Dr. Bernaldo de Quirós, who, with infinite patience, answered our constants, and probably silly, questions and our photographical tries.
