Le pont U Bein fut construit en 1849 avec des piliers récupérés dans l'ancienne capitale Inwa.
Long de 1200 mètres, il est entièrement constitué de bois de teck.

The bridge U Bein was built in 1849 with pillars resulting from the former capital Inwa.
1200 metres long, it is completely constituted by teak.
