Mardi Gras is more than the "flashing for beads" that every network happily broadcasts. A celebration of the day before the 40 days of lent, it lives in every community of southern Louisiana. Since I am not a native, it isn't in my blood, but I have tried to show that it is a community event, safe, fun, and child friendly. My kids Hanne (13) and Ian (11) just love the groping for toys and beads. Welcome and enjoy ! Throw me something Mister !
