Mardi Gras - Thibodaux, LA - 2003

Mardi Gras is more than the "flashing for beads" that every network happily broadcasts. A celebration of the day before the 40 days of lent, it lives in every community of southern Louisiana. Since I am not a native, it isn't in my blood, but I have tried to show that it is a community event, safe, fun, and child friendly. My kids Hanne (13) and Ian (11) just love the groping for toys and beads. Welcome and enjoy ! Throw me something Mister !
For the real photographers among you, you will appreciate the "ideal conditions for disaster": 12 noon, hard sun and behind the parade :-)

Verrassing dit moois tezien en fier dat mijn zoon dit over de hele wereld kan verspreiden. Gelukkig mijn flinke Hanne en Ian ertussen te vinden.Vind het prachtig kleuren, onderwerp, compositie...Kunstwerk.
