Contemplations...

Christiansburg is getting a few new sidewalks downtown
He was waiting for the heavy equipment to get there
so they could block off half of Main Street again
I thought it was ironic to see a county worker
waiting on the steps of a church in a town called Christiansburg

Interesting trivia~*
Christiansburg is located on the original Wilderness Road. In one year as many as 50,000 families migrated westward along this "Great Road."
Christiansburg is the site of the Lewis/McHenry duel, known for being the first recorded duel with rifles.
Daniel Boone was an early resident of the area.
After purchasing goods to equip his men, he left without paying his debt.
A warrant was issued for his arrest in 1775, but he had moved on to Kentucky and was never arrested.
The arrest warrant is still on file at the County Courthouse.
