Troy - Truva

No place in Turkey is as thoroughly excavated as Troy. The city was built and rebuilt nine times dating back 5000 years. The Troy of Trojan War (1300 ~ 900BC), that Greek poet Homer's ILiad was based on, was the 7th successive civilization. The initial discovery was by a German businessman Heinrich Schliemann. Most of its artifacts are now on display in museums in Germany and Russia.
The recent release of movie Troy brings buses and buses of tourists to the replica of the Trojan Horse. The restrooms here are appropriately labelled: Paris for men, and Helen for women.
After taking a picture in front of the replica horse, most tourists head back to their buses.
