After hearing so much of the baby panda girl in the national zoo, we finally made our trip to see the then 17-month old Bao Bao up close and her caring mother Mei Xiang. We checked out other parts of the zoo.

The Giant Panda Program is funded by the David Rubenstein Family. He is the philanthropist who is funding the restoration of the Washington Monument after it was damaged from an earthquake a few years back.

Bao Bao is now officially separated from her mother Mei Xiang so she is ready to conceive again. Under the agreement, Bao Bao will be returned to China when she turns 4 years old. You can watch her through this Panda Cam: http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/WebCams/giant-panda.cfm

A mouse is sniffing the poop	Mei Xiang and Bao Bao finally come out to the yard	Bao Bao finds something to eat.	She holds on to the wall and wants to climb it
She leaves quite an "impression" to zoo visitors	But there is so much bamboo around it	She uses her right hand to push the bamboo into her mouth	Looking so cute
Then she slides down the hillside		At times, she curls up like a ball

Stop staring at me!
	Tiger all by himself		He runs into the bushes
as if he is looking for something	Then he dashes into the bush again	Looking through metal door	Tracing the little space he has
The lions section looks very spaceous	There are quite a few lionesses	Relaxing in the afternoon sun
