King penguins are the 2nd largest penguins in the world, reaching up to 1 meter in height and 16 kg in weight. Don't confuse them with emperor penguins featured in March of the Penguins. King penguins live mostly between 45-56 degree south in latitude, such as South Georgia island and the Falkland Islands. The three colonies we visited were some of the largest, with 60k -100k penguins each.
