A UNESCO World Heritage site, this ksar is a small city built on the side of large hill. It was a key stop on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara Desert. It is inhabited with small shops, restaurants and guest houses. Scenes from movies such as Gladiator and The Mummy were filmed here.
