This is a residential area where hardly any exciting things happen in the evening. It seems that there are no difference architecturally from building to building. Streetlights are sparse and dim, which makes reading street signs impossible. With the ever changing Beijing, rising crime rates, dishonest cab drivers, and my poor recollection of all the references to finding my home, my worried parents usually go to the airport to pick me up (my flight always arrives late at night).
