The selected ones are young men in their twenties, good looking, and at 180cm (5'11") in height. In the two years of their duty to raise and lower the Chinese flag on the Tiananmen Square, they learn nothing practical but walking in a straight-line, standing still for hours in any weather conditions and temperatures.
