Death Valley National Park

California already experienced record rainfall by the time we booked our trip in anticipation for a super bloom. But the time we visited the park, more rain and snow had fallen accompanied with damaging strong winds. The strong winds apparently are not good for spring flowers in the valley. Not only there was no super bloom, there was no flower except for creosote, a bush with small yellow flowers. Despite of this, we were surprised by the beautiful landscapes all throughout the park. If you want to get close to any of the sites, it requires a lot of endurance and stamina plus long drive between scenic spots. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. The staff were super friendly and all the amenity were well kept and clean. We will be back for sure!
