My sister and I rarely travel together to China for fun, but this year is an exception. Since my dad's passing, it has become more important that we spend more time with my mom and elderly relatives. In addition to spending the Chinese New Year in February with my relatives, we arranged a week long trip to see my sister's best friend in Shanghai, then finish the trip in Beijing to see my mother and her siblings. I also met up with friends I made in middle school.
