Three Rivers Petroglyphs Site



The Three Rivers Petroglyphs Site is one of the few locations in the Southwest set aside solely because of its rock art. The number and concentration of petroglyphs here make it one of the largest and most interesting petroglyph sites in the Desert Southwest.

Petroglyphs at Three Rivers were created by Jornada Mogollon people between about 900 and 1400 AD.

Interesting photos. I've seen lots of petroglyphs in the SW, but it's always been on large walls in canyons, etc. These are the first that I've seen on smaller rocks.

Really nice shots. Harsh light but well exposed. We use to see petroglyphs in BC while boating on the rock cliffs of some of the inlets. Linda S
