Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from A.D. 600 to A.D. 1300. The park protects over 4,000 known archeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings.

This is a place that I want to re-visit. We were there about 15 or 20 years ago, shortly after the "Long House Fire". You've got some really nice shots here.

Very nice Nancy,this is one place I still need to get to. Did you touch the bricks and wonder about the people that lived there and what their life was like? I know I always do. I collect Arrow Heads and some of them are over 9000 years old and when I hold them I wonder about who made them and how they helped them survive.
